I am not a man of grand stories. I am, however, a fan of big sound, warm tubes, and music that actually means something.

After years of working as a musician and producer, I wanted to create a place where music is given space again. No rush, no fuss, just peace, focus, and honest craftsmanship. That became Hillroad Records: a studio in the Salland countryside, built with a love for sound and character.

Detail and Emotion

Here, it is about both detail and feeling. Whether it is an intimate singer-songwriter or a full rock band, every production receives the attention it deserves. Great music happens when technology and emotion strengthen each other, not when they get in each other’s way.

In the studio, I work with a combination of modern and vintage gear, but primarily with my ears. The space is designed to sound natural and feel comfortable. It is acoustically balanced but has enough atmosphere to stay creative.

What do I love most about my work? The fact that musicians often leave here with more insight into their own music than when they arrived. Those moments when everything suddenly clicks, a sound, a take, an emotion, that is why I do this.

Hillroad Records is not a factory. It is a workshop: a place where songs grow, ideas take shape, and mastery feels like second nature.
